Force Main Improvements

Burkhardt Construction was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Force Main Improvements project using a qualifications based selection method. The project consisted of the replacement of existing 12" force main with new 18" force main along S. Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, FL. The old force main was constructed prior to 1962 and had reached the end of its useful life. The project required a large amount of coordination with residents along S. Ocean Boulevard who needed to access their property at all times. We also had to maintain constant access through the work site for emergency vehicles as well as coordinate garbage and mail service to residences.
