The James A. Rutherford Park Restoration and Improvements Project enhanced a treasured waterfront park by focusing on environmental stewardship, recreational access, and sustained resilience. As part of the City’s Waterfront Master Plan, the project included boardwalk enhancements, shoreline stabilization, habitat restoration, native landscaping, observation areas, ADA accessibility improvements, kayak and canoe access enhancements, pedestrian walkways, and supporting site infrastructure.
The revitalized park provides residents and visitors with expanded opportunities to experience Boca Raton’s waterfront while strengthening environmental sustainability and preserving the site's natural character for future generations.
