Side Street Streetscape

The Side Street Streetscape Pilot Program was a Construction Manager at Risk project performed for the Hollywood Beach CRA. The Pilot Program was intended to test design and functionality of streetscaping and undergrounding of franchise utilities along six side streets between State Road A1A and the Broadwalk (Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Connecticut, Arthur and Cleveland Streets). The City then decided to continue the Streetscape program and Burkhardt Construction is serving as CM at Risk on the streetscape of another 10 side streets. This project included extensive undergrounding of franchise utilities, drainage at A1A, roadway and sidewalk pavers, lush landscaping, irrigation, pebble mosaics, cast stone seat walls, decorative street lighting, furnishings and a custom ipé trellis.
